Experience Summary
I have been through a teaching credential program for elementary education and chose not to teach in a classroom environment because I prefer one-on-one and small group interaction. I've also earned a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts because I personally enjoy and value a broad education. My master's degree in counseling reflects my concern for people, my ability to listen and respond to individual needs. I've also been a Teacher's Aide at the Elementary school level and a Substitute teacher at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels in English, history, science, mathematics, the arts and government.
Teaching Style
I love working with kids and strive to identify, support and encourage each individual's gifts, strengths, and abilities, while also assisting them with his or her areas of challenge. I am patient, respectful and believe that children and youth respond best to positive reinforcement. My goal is to help your child experience academic success and achieve his or her own potential.
