Experience Summary
The wonder of learning was insilled within me at a very young age by my parents within the warm home-schooled atmosphere they created. My formal school training began at the level of 8th grade, college at 15, BS Physics, and presently persuing
MS Physics. A Graduate Teaching Asisstantship has afforded me the experience of working closely with undergraduate students,
thereby making me realize I do enjoy helping others learn and get beyond the difficulties that will occur for all students from time to time. Additionally, I have been inducted into Kappa Mu Epsilon, Sigma Pi Sigma, and Psi Chi.
Teaching Style
The manner in which I strive to help a student is first of all to just listen. Find out what is most important to them about the material. Next, speak calmly and confidently that any problems they are encountering can be resolved. Go step by step over what needs to be done, and review as much material as is necessary to bring the student up to a level of comprehension that brings confidence to the student. One important component of helping a student learn is to help the student to see that they can do the work.
