Experience Summary
I earned my Masters of Science in Art Education and my Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Consumer Sciences at Florida State University. I consider myself to be a life long learner and have a passion to teach others what I have learned. I am certified to teach Art in grades K-12 and currently work as a Substitute Teacher in grades K-12. In my educational journey; I have learned how to collect important data from various methods of research, written many essays and reports, and incorporate creative flare in my work when possible. As a result of my studies I have very strong problem solving skills to arrive at a solution.
Teaching Style
I believe in a safe, constructive, patient, and enjoyable learning environment. Through planning lessons, teaching students, and reflection upon these educational events; I continue to discover ways of improving my ability to communicate an exceptional process of learning for my students. I trust in a process oriented approach to acquiring the knowledge and skill levels enabling student success. My aim is to facilitate a student friendly, diverse, and collaborative learning environment.
