Experience Summary
My background includes 25 years in upholstery manufacturing and also honorable military experience. I have worked for many years to complete my degrees, and they are very valuable to me. My skills include computer proficiency, grammar,math, and communication. I pride myself in having a well prepared plan for any project I am involved with. I have led major projects for my church such as the Call Committee to hire our new pastor and the Family Fun Day for our community outreach. I relate to young people very well and feel confident I can help with their studies.
Teaching Style
My approach is to establish a relationship with small talk and introductions. A parent must be present at all times. I will keep up with the child's work load in the respective subject and also be in contact with their teacher.
But my inital style will be repetition, which I found to be most productive during my time in the military. However, I realize that there many different methods to teaching. I will offer as many tools or resources that are needed to assist the child in learning the subject matter. And I will search continually to find the best method for the child and subject that we will study.
