Experience Summary
My commitment to education can be found very simply. At 28 years old, I decided to go back to college to complete my final two years of school. I attained my BA 3 years later, having had to work full time to support my wife and two young children. My goal is, at some point, to return to school to attain my teaching credential, so I can fulfill my dream of being an English teacher.
Teaching Style
Children are not students. They are not tools, nor are they pieces of a larger machine. They are people, impressionable and as important as the rest of the world. So, then, why would we expect everyone to learn the same? To teach a child in any discipline requires, in some cases, finesse, and an ability to adapt to their needs. That is what I bring to the table. I believe in a laid-back, friendly approach to tutoring, one where the student's needs are met before those of the classroom. After all, how can a child be expected to learn if they can't be reached on their level?
