Teaching Style
Motivating students to want to learn is a key facet of my success as a teacher. I have found that educating people to understand ‘why’ things are done is essential to having them truly understand the subject matter being taught. In short I teach them how to learn. My approach always includes the “coach approach” so the student knows you honestly want them to win and get a good grade in a particular subject. An essential component of the “student teacher” experience is developing a verbal performance contract in which responsibilities of the student and the teacher are very clear. This way the student learns to “trust” me and wants to learn more from me.
