Experience Summary
My education in engineering (MS/BS), business (MBA) and liberal arts (BA) prepared me for a career in sales, marketing, engineering and finance. I worked for many years at IBM and other major companies. Now I am helping the next generation achieve their full potential by tutoring them in mathematics and the sciences. I have tutored my son in middle and high school and instructed people to develop their computer skills. My college course work included many biology and chemistry classes (organic and inorganic) that are required for environmental engineering specialties such as water quality and biological pollution treatment.
Teaching Style
My primary teaching style is to facilitate a student's inherent thirst for knowledge. I use directed questions to help young students discover the best methods to reach the correct conclusion. I love to work with them as they find solutions and their own reasoning skills. While I teach the basic methodologies, my primary objective is to develop the student's inherent abilities to be a life-long learner.
