Experience Summary
I taught elementary special education for two years with the Lima, Ohio, public schools. I taught high school Spanish and Remedial Reading for two years with the Pike Delta York schools in NW Ohio. I taught English as a Second Language to K-8 migrant children for two summers in Wauseon, Ohio. For ten years, I taught virtually all subjects to K-12 Home/Hospital bound students for the Aurora Public Schools in suburban Denver. Tutoring is my passion, particularly in the language arts areas.
Teaching Style
I believe all children can learn, particularly if we match our instructional style to the learning style and needs of the student(s). As the mother of a special needs child, I constantly look to see what other teachers have perhaps missed in their dealings with a classroom full of students. My references, from supervisors and parents alike, evidence the passion I display toward struggling students. I enjoy collaborating between the home and the school to provide the child with the best education we collective can provide.
