Experience Summary
I have recently acquired a Master of Education degree in Education-a lifelong dream.
I have taught in both private and public schools in grades PreK-6.
I have tutored many students along the way-including summer school for struggling readers and writers.
My most recent assignment was a permanent substitute position in the first grade.
I am currently tutoring in ELL AND ALL ACADEMIC SUBJECTS.
I have passed all the MTEL exams and have helped fellow colleagues with these exams.
I also hold License to teach Special Needs.
Teaching Style
I am a fan of Howard Gardner- I believe each student has his/her own learning style. Knowing these learning styles can help both teacher and student accomplish academic success.
I also believe in a gradual release of responsibility on the student's part.
Teaching vocabulary before the actual lesson can help the student understand more completely.
