Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders and a Master’s of Art degree in Varying Exceptionalities. I currently hold a Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate in Elementary Education K-6 and Varying Exceptionalities K-12. During the completion of my MA degree, I had the opportunity to complete an action research project and have experience with writing and reading research papers. During my teaching career, I attended and completed the Just Read, Florida! training. This training has further equipped me with various teaching strategies to improve reading and comprehension skills. I have 8 years of classroom experience and one year as a Curriculum Resource Teacher.
Teaching Style
Education has been a life-long love of mine. I firmly believe that each child, when given the proper tools, can succeed! I am an educator who believes that the student must come first, in that way we can better meet the needs of said student. I have an easygoing attitude and use encouragement to help improve my students desire to become the best they can be. I feel that open communication between tutor and classroom teacher can only further student success and will work to attain an open connection with school personnel.
