Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a full schalarship for tuition and books. I was a physics tutor at the University and I have been a tutor for over 36 years since my graduation. Some of my students have won science project awards with my direction.
I have been a Title One Teacher for over 6 years in Pinellas County specializing in reading,writing,math and science.This past year I was a Title One Teaching Partner teaching students as an intervention specialist. I am highly qualified to teach learning strategies. I am also an English as a second language teacher. I ran a computer lab for 1/2 year and I am familiar with scientific programs recommended by the state.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is aligned with Pinellas County. I have over 1,000 professional development hours. Only 120 hours are required every five years to recertify. I am a life long learner and highly qualified. I teach using scientific data, progress monitoring,and by setting learning goals. If the goals are not met I change the strategy to meet the sunshine state standards. I am data driven and teach to the way the student learns. Since I am trained in interventions I am fammiliar with all the programs provided by the school system as well as the computer programs.
