Experience Summary
During my college education I worked for a high school as a teaching assistant. At this school I was able to teach and help students with their various assignments from various subjects. Sometimes the teacher would allow me to teach the math portion of the class because he knew I was capable. I have always been great at math and have tutored many people in various levels of math from college algebra to calculus. I have even tutored in English. I feel very comfortable teaching any level of Math.
Teaching Style
Most people have a fear of math, and I feel that everyone is capable of learning the material. It depends on the amount of time that one dedicates that will determine whether they will understand the material. My approach to teaching is to go step by step and not cutting any corners. I teach my students to take the time to go through every step to condition them into doing it correctly. My method uses lots of visuals and examples. followed by allowing the student to try on their own once they have practiced enough. I try to simulate test situations to make them feel more comfortable for the test.
