Experience Summary
I earned a BA in Elementary Education, which has allowed me the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge about the classroom environment. I develop and apply lesson plans for all subjects based upon AZ State Standards and National Standards. It is extremely important to implement various teaching techniques in order to meet the needs of all learners. I have experience with student assessments that measure progress such as AIMSweb and Stanford 10.
During college, I supervised an after school and summer program for nearly six years. I was responsible for making sure the program ran smoothly and effectively by creating daily planners full of activities such as homework help, reading, physical activities, and nutrition.
Teaching Style
I implement various teaching styles in order to target all students. I am a highly motivated, devoted individual who believes all students can be successful. I allow students to discover concepts on their own as well as provide guidance. I am an advocate for manipulatives because students are capable of reaching higher order thinking skills.
