Experience Summary
As a dedicated and committed teacher, I decided to undergo the rigorous National Board Certification process in order to prove that I had what it takes to make a good teacher in the US. I realized that Reading was a critical needs area and worked towards acquiring the Reading Endorsement.I have taught at various levels ranging from Grade 4 to undergraduate level in three countries.I have experience in tutoring students on a one on one basis.For me learning is an on-going process so I am constantly improving my knowledge base. I went to Spain in 2004 with a group of teachers in order to learn Spanish in an immersion program in Salamanca University.
Teaching Style
My strong belief is that every child can learn. It is important to find out what interests the child and also to help the child realize how he/she can benefit by learning. Once motivated the sky is the limit. Children need to be handled with care and patience. I am a concerned, and competent person who keeps on trying even when the going is tough.The resources available to students and teachers here unparalleled -therefore a good educator can definitely be successful.
