I have had training in the methodology of Six Sigma. Although not a Black Belt in Six Sigma, I have worked on many Six Sigma projects. These projects require an in depth knowledge of statistical methods. These include data collection, analysis, presentation and the development of action plans.
Teaching Style
Simply put my teaching style has always been to make the student comfortable with statistics. I find many students are petrified of the thought of having to understand what all those Greek symbols mean.
The way I teach is to bring statistics into the student’s world. I do this by showing how statistics are used in the real world. The end result of my classes has always been that the students leaving the class have an understanding of what statistics can do for them. They may not all go on to be PhDs in the field but each one of the will take a closer look at the data that crosses their work station each day.
