Experience Summary
As a certified teacher in U.S./World History and in English Language Arts at a Secondary level, I have enjoyed planning lessons and helping students understand difficult concepts in the Social Sciences and in English for 3 years. I attended Brigham Young University for my undergraduate studies, taught by some of the nation’s most respected professionals in the education field. I also have a thorough knowledge of researching, writing research papers, editing, and grammatical skills. Though I specialize in middle and high school education, I have extensive experience teaching elementary students as well!
Teaching Style
I enjoy a great passion for helping students learn the fundamentals to empower their lives. My goal as an educator is to facilitate critical thinking skills so young people learn to be intrigued by history, reading, and writing. I have the benefit of a passion for learning all I can, and want to encourage our youth to see the excitement that stems from being well-informed! All youth have the ability to learn, and it is important to explore different methods for working with individuals. One-on-one time can be the best way to help children learn. I have a nurturing, caring personality which brought me to the education field, to help children of all ages whose unique struggles do not have to define their worth in the world.
