Experience Summary
I believe that educating children will provide us with a better future. I have taught all levels, ESE, regular and gifted students. I have a Master degree and a Bachelor degree but changed careers 6 years ago to become a teacher. I earned my professional certification while teaching full-time. My background strengths were more in mathematics and science but I went to a number of workshops and courses to learn a variety of ways to teach language arts and to integrate curriculum so that children can learn a variety of subjects in one lesson. I hope to instill a love of learning within each child and to inspire them to work hard and reach for the stars.
Teaching Style
My goal is to help children discover their inner strengths and abilities, which will help them succeed in their future endeavors. I will provide an exciting and caring environment for the students. Through my different experiences in the classroom, I have learned there are many creative ways to teach students rather than just using a textbook. By utilizing techniques such as manipulatives, role-playing, and computer-based learning, students will grasp subjects more readily. I love working with children, and I will continue to strive to be a positive role model in their lives.
