Experience Summary
Since knowing I wanted to teach my junior year of high school, education has been my passion. I went on to Sonoma State University where I earned my BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Kinesiology (PE). I then went on to Cal State San Marcos to obtain my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Since having my credential I have had the opportunity to work with students ranging from kindergarten to college level. I have done this by being an in classroom teacher as well as an out of classroom tutor. As stated I have a Multiple Subject Credential, but specialize in Math up to Geometry, and Reading. I also love the Sciences, and find Chemistry one of my top subjects.
Teaching Style
I love working with all level of students. I never give up on my students and expect them to never give up on themselves. Building confidence in learners is key to my educational approach, and I try my best to be aware of frustration levels. Everyone learns a different way, and I believe it is my job to figure out my students’ best learning style. My main effort in teaching goes to having my students fully understand the subject they are learning, and feel open enough to ask any questions. A good educational foundation opens up a world of opportunity.
