Experience Summary
As a Home Depot Associate, I have trained many levels of management, human resources, new associates, and tenured associates in all areas of product knowledge and management skills. I will be enrolled in a Master's program in Leadership starting in September. I am fluent in Spanish, as I was an exchange student in Bolivia during high school. I have extensive experience mentoring and training in the retail environment, and I am a volunteer at the local ESL classes.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is as varied as the students I have taught. I feel it is important to relate to the student in order to help them learn best. When there are different learning styles, I do my best to use a variety of teaching techniques in order to cater to the need of the student. I feel that follow up is important, as well as repetition and hands-on practice. I am not a lecturer. I find my best students learn one on one or in a small group where they can be comfortable and ask questions. With children, I have a similar approach as learning, for a child, can be very intimidating, and they have already had enough trouble in school, so patience and kindness is a best practice.
