Experience Summary
My passion is helping students achieve success in reading! Being the parent of a son with mild dyslexia I can understand how stressful reading difficulties can be to a struggling reader. I have extensive experience working as a teacher, reading test assessor and tutor for elementary students in both public and private schools. I have experience with working one on one with students and with small groups. I am a positive person that can easily relate to children of all ages.
Teaching Style
My personal teaching style involves the hands on approach to learning. I like to make learning fun through a positive and encouraging learning environment. I am a patient, caring and nurturing person who enjoys working with children. I feel that all students should be given the opportunity and skills to succeed to the best of their abilities. A great teacher can build confidence and self esteem to empower each student to become life long learners.
