Experience Summary
Since I love the combination of two different fields, Information and Mathematics, I have earned two bachelor degrees: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Teaching Mathematics and Physics, which allows me to merge both knowledge into teaching multiple areas of computer science, mathematics and physics. I have also studied and earned multiple certificates that also allow me to cover specific learning fields like network, A+ and mathematics simulation. My teaching experience has included teaching traditional high school courses, training teaching assistants, supervising an undergraduate research project, and teaching college-level mathematics to high school students.
Teaching Style
Teaching Mathematics for High School Students is a challenge when learning stiles are different. Since most of the time a combination of visual, aural, tactile, verbal, logical, social, and solitary teaching methods are needed to help my students achieve academic success, my goal is to provide them with the opportunity to connect, communicate and explore mathematics in a fun and creative way. I want my students to experience the utility and clarity of mathematical thinking. I like to provide them with the ability to communicate using math beyond the proscribed context of the course. I believe that since mathematics is one of the most important teaching subjects an appropriate understanding of how it connects to the broader world is a must.
