Experience Summary
I taught junior and senior high school for two years from 1966 to 1968 in Bay City, Michigan. Additionally, I taught the SAT Prep in Math for one year at Tarrant Community College in Fort Worth, TX. I was a GED teacher for three years in Dallas, TX from 1997 to 1999 and taught defensive driving for five years in Louisville, TX form 1994 to 1999.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is compassionate and understanding. I am patient with students that need extra help understanding math and algebra basic principles and love to see a student succeed. I can easily explain the math processes to a variety of students with differing skill sets. I am able to teach the student that does not know how to perform simple equations and also teach the advanced student preparing for upper division testing. The success of my students is most important to me and I strive to maintain a motivational, encouraging, and enjoyable learning environment at all times. Math can be fun if correctly taught and I try to create in all of my students a new love for the subject.
