Experience Summary
In 2002, I earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration with Communications as my minor, which has allowed me to gain an understanding in many areas including business writing, group dynamics, and speech presentation.
I have two years of experience teaching adult students the English language with the goal of helping them to develop a basic vocabulary and exposing them to common expressions and constructions. In addition, I played an essential role in making sure that grammar was introduced slowly and successfully. As a result, at week 12, approximately, 85% of the class had mastered 162 words and phrases. This included a list of 32 phrases such as stand up, sit down, come here, are you hungry etc.
Teaching Style
I have a passion to make a difference in this world and always go above and beyond what is expected of me. I truly feel that all students must be treated as "dignified, mature, competent human beings. When tutoring them, I ask myself: "Is this the way I would like to be tutored?" I have what it takes to make a difference in a student's life by helping them reach their goals through effective teaching, patience, and a sincere appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual.
