Experience Summary
My interest in education comes from my personal experience. I started off as a Probation Officer after I finished College with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. I used to Sub Teach to break the monotony of dealing with crime and found teaching to be more rewarding for me.
However, after giving Teaching some serious thought I then returned to School and completed my Teaching Credential Program Through Patten University in Oakland Ca. in Elementry Education. I have tutored for the past six years, primarily in math and GED prep. What I offer is new innovative ways to learn and I go out of my way to use students varities of learning styles and I try to motivate students to learn using their multiple intelligences.
Teaching Style
My teaching style has been called outside of the box by some of my colleagues, n that I dont mind going above and beyond woth students to learn. I use real world problems, music and different memory devices hands on sports, clothes art and word problems that students make up inorder to make the problem real to the individual student.
