Experience Summary
As a graduate of Florida International University with a Master of Science in Education, I learned the importance of teaching by studying various subjects to enhance my teaching abilities and help me communicate in a positive and clear manner. My goal is to compassionatley help students progress and succeed in any subject.
I worked for the District School Board of Collier County. As an art teacher, all subjects were intertwined into the curriculum.
As a substitute Teacher,for grades K-12, from 2001 to 2005, I experienced working with students at all levels, abilities, and subject areas; including autism, learning disabilities, reading, math, science, english, the media center and history.
Teaching Style
My compassionate teaching style is relaxed; stressing self-discipline and time management skills while learning to focus on the fundamental concepts in any discipline in a concrete and consecutive manner. Positive recognition and rewarding good behavior is a fundamental part of my style including clearly communicating the subject matter in a concise, practical, sequential manner from the the basic simpler material to the more difficult material, one step at a time.
I hope to help all students that I meet to first and foremost feel good and positive about their abilities and themselves and strive to achieve their educational goals and do their best.
