Experience Summary
I currently have a Masters in Guidance and Counseling and have completed all my course work for a PhD in Psychology. As a psychology professor, motivational speaker, educator and counselor I have worked with a variation of age groups. These age group range from early childhood to adulthood. I have worked with and helped thousands of learners excel by empowering them, teaching them learning techniques, their learning styles, and how their brain processes information. I have also conducted training in school systems with teachers to help them understand their students and how to create a more productive learning environment.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students come to an educational environment with a preconceived notion of their capabilities and their potential. This perception begins when the child is an infant and can affect the person for the rest of their life. Giving students the necessary tools and skills will help them build confidence and help them become better learners. Every student process information differently and has a different leaning style. What is critical is for the student to understand this and be able to apply it to every thing they do. One of the most important things is that I meet the student were they are at with their needs and I am patient and understanding and create an environment were the student will develop a passion for learning.
