As an experienced professional in education, I value it's importance. Learning how to read is an essential skill that should be taught in a personal manner. By being certified in Special Education, I've kept myself abreast with current teaching styles and approaches. It's very rewarding to see how a student blossoms and becomes an active learner! I look forward to continue being an active part of that process!
Teaching Style
Having been an educator for over 30 years, I love and enjoy the opportunity to work with students individually. It allows the teacher to customize the setting to be encouraging, positive and workable. The learner is able to adapt well and know that their questions and concerns will be dealt with in a safe and supportive learning envirionment. By being patient, understanding, supportive and encouraging; this will lead to a sense of achievement. Every child has that opportunity to learn, no matter what their deficits are! Nothing is more rewarding to see how a student reacts to achieving something that was unachieveable before!
