Experience Summary
After graduate school in the summer of 2003, I taught art at the Pathfinder Ranch in Idyllwild, CA for ten hours a day for three months with a very limited budget. From 2003-2004, I taught on-line students and acted as an academic enrollment counselor for high school students and their parents at Laurel Springs School, a home school in Ojai, CA. In 2005, I lectured and taught a yearlong AP Art History at Thacher, a well known, highly respected boarding school in Ojai, CA. Finally in 2006 I was an AmeriCorps Literacy tutor working with students at Canalino School in Carpinteria, CA, run through the Santa Barbara County Education Office.
Teaching Style
I have the ability to “adjust quickly to change” and love to multi-task. From living in Mexico D.F. at the age of sixteen, attending graduate school in London and now living in Hawaii, I have gained experience in multi-cultural environments and thrive in challenging settings.
