Experience Summary
For the past six years, I have worked as a secondary ed. mathematics teacher and have done a significant amount of tutoring during this time as well. I love being a teacher and a one-on-one tutor because it allows me to make a difference in students' lives, not only academically, but personally as well. Math is not always a well-liked subject, but I take pride in explaining/teaching math in a way that students can understand. I have had great success in the education field and am excited to continue my work through the Advanced Learners experience.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is clear and to the point. I try to break down the material to a point the student is comfortable with and build upon their former knowledge as much as possible. I believe all students can learn math as long as they are open to it. Math is not the enemy. It is my job to help students make a connection to the subject they are learning without too much distress on their part. I am patient and confident that my teaching style will work for your child.
