Experience Summary
I am 31, a Nashville native and recently married. In 2001, I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Social Work. In 2008, I earned a Master of Divinity by studying theology and translating ancient Greek and Hebrew. This required writing many research papers. Last year I lived in Turkey, located north of Egypt. Now I enjoy being back in Nashville.
Over the last several years, I grew in the skills of writing curriculum and teaching my lessons to large classrooms. I have also had the opportunity to mentor young women. I love teaching because making a difference in someone’s life is the most rewarding experience. I enjoy being able to support others in their goals and assist them in achieving their dreams.
Teaching Style
I believe the best environment for growth is a safe environment. My teaching style communicates clear expectations while at the same time allows room for the growing pains of learning new information. Encouragement and positive reinforcement can go a long way in motivating students.
Some people learn best through seeing, some people learn best through hearing and some people learn best through doing. I want to creatively incorporate teaching styles that best fit the needs of my students.
