Experience Summary
I have worked in an ESE classroom teaching math and science to 4th and 5th grade students. I have also had many other practicum experiences in schools and have worked with students as a whole group, small group, and individually. I have strong curriculum knowledge, am caring and patient, and love working with students.
Teaching Style
I like to motivate my students by providing background knowledge and examples of application in the world outside of textbooks. I think it is important for students to create an emotional experience to ensure that knowledge will be stored. I implore traditional methods, as well as research-based approaches that connect to students audio, visual, or kinesthetic learning styles. I am dedicated and patient and make it my responsibility to find the way each individual student learns and absorbs information.
