Experience Summary
I graduated from USF with a B.A.'s in Anthropology. I also gained an immense knowledge in understanding and researching groups, as well as individuals, by participating in an Honors/Thesis program offered by the department of Anthropology. As such, I have acquired superb writing and grammatical skills. Additionally, I have played the viola, a classical string instrument, since the 6th grade. Being a well-rounded individual, I have also studied art while attending college, and enjoy creating my own arts and crafts frequently. Also, I speak and write some Spanish.
Teaching Style
I am currently enrolled in an Educator Preparation Institute to obtain my certification to teach. In the meantime, I am employed as a substitute teacher for Pasco County, and I previously volunteered for after school care tutoring programs for children between the ages of 6-18. I feel that I have a very positive attitude, and when I am dealing with children I try to remain clam and comical. I feel that if I can try to, no only, encourage the child to learn, but also to equate learning with a positive feeling/attitude then the process of learning will become that much more enjoyable.
