Experience Summary
As a college-level instructor, I have extensive teaching experience. I have designed curricula, created teaching materials, taught classes with many adult students, and met one on one with pupils to address specific learning challenges. I have taught numerous classes, but mostly upper-level classes in experimental psychology and statistical methods.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is grounded in empirically tested learning principles. Students flourish if teachers structure materials and instruction to reflect the constraints and faculties of the human mind. If a student fails to achieve, it is often because the instructor is not well versed in instructional design or an experienced teacher. In my instruction, I endeavor to find a way that each student can identify the meaning and value in that which they must learn. Once he or she is motivated, it is my responsibility to organize the material in a manner conducive to his or her learning style.
