Experience Summary
As a student who has learned to cope and overcome a learning disability (ADHD), I understand the importance and significance of having people there to help in all aspects of academia. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BA in History and BA in Interdisciplinary Anthropology, as well as my Archaeology Certificate and a minor in the Classics. My experience in these subjects has given me a well rounded knowledge of Ancient, Medieval, and Early Modern European History, Cultural Anthropology, Archaeology and Archaeological/Anthropological theory. My field of study has also provided me with exceptional writing and reading comprehension skills. Over the last year and a half I have tutored fellow students in history and anthropology.
Teaching Style
Overcoming my own learning disability, I have created methods of studying which have been adopted to help a number of college students. I understand the frustration and stress placed on students in the current academic environment. My methods range from hands on experience to notecards. I am understanding, laid back, and easy to talk to. I feel the best way for a student to learn is through an organized and structured environment. I believe that nothing is impossible and that all students can achieve the grades they desire. I truely feel that teachers and other educators can influence the future by providing a holistic and unbiased point of view.
