Experience Summary
I recently graduated from Ohio University with a BS in English Education in March of 2010. My last day of student teaching, I received an offer to teach at a Career and Technical school for a long-term Language Arts position for ten weeks. I taught six different eleventh and twelfth grade classes with two preps. During my student teaching I taught twelfth grade with four different preps, including traditional, accelerated, AP, and creative writing English classes.
Teaching Style
I believe the teaching world is so wonderful because the process of learning is never-ending, for the teacher and the student. Teachers and students gain information from each other and therefore make the learning process meaningful and relateable. I believe strongly that adapting lessons to students' lives is the best way for students to better understand and discover not only the lesson taught, but also their world. A wonderful teacher will put all the professionalism, heart, and reflection they can into their students.
