Previously, I had my own tutoring company working with students in all subjects including FCAT preparation. Teaching Style
Teaching is my passion as I strive to help all students meet their goals. My teaching style can be described as helping students craft their goals and realize their full potential. Given my special education background, I try to discern my students learning styles upfront since they learn differently. When teaching mathematics, I use the math rules and a step by step approach for problem solving. This is helpful for them to identify where they went wrong and come up with the right answer. For ESOL students, I sometimes read aloud so they hear the proper word pronounciation. I use discovery learning, higher order thinking skills and cooperative learning.
