Experience Summary
As a teaching professional with a diverse background I bring a breadth of experience to all levels of teaching. I have been tutoring for 10 years and specializing in one-on-one instruction. I currently teach English at the college level, but I tutor privately in a variety of subjects. Two bachelor degrees, in English and Communications, a Masters in English, plus 30 graduate hours in Education give me a strong foundation for instructing. My passion for teaching and learning, patience and understanding make me an ideal tutor.
Teaching Style
Kids respond positively to my teaching style. I am motivating and understanding about their needs while striving to make them feel at ease. I have found that a child learns better when he/she feels a teacher is giving that student his/her total attention. Students do not want to compete with other forces. While classroom instruction is very fulfilling my heart really lies with one-on-one instruction.
