Experience Summary
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL Endorsement and a state of Florida teaching certification. I graduated from St. Petersburg College with a desire to change the way students perceive school. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and to encourage them to thrive into successful individuals.Throughout the course of my teaching experience, I have had inspirational opportunities to teach diverse groups of students including those with disabilities, those who spoke languages other than English, and those who were gifted/exceptional. I have also been a substitute teacher since 2009. I have done private tutoring with a couple of different families as well.
Teaching Style
My professional objective as a tutor is to educate students using creative and memorable teaching methods in order to change the way children perceive school. I feel that I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans, which accommodate multiple intelligences, brings a hands-on approach to learning, and keeps students interested and focused. My greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating students. I actively engage them by incorporating a variety of manipulatives, enjoyable activities, and helpful learning strategies. I believe that the more memorable an activity is the more engaged the students become so they can take what they have learned to the next level.
