Experience Summary
As a graduate of the University of Virginia and Kaplan University, I know the meaning of hard work and dedication. I received my BA in Sociology with a minor in Religion from the University of Virginia in 2004. I went on to receive my MBA in Finance from Kaplan University in 2009. I have always had a love for math as my older sister is a math professor. Everything that she learned, she taught to me. I have been helping my peers with math ever since I have been in school and I love helping people understand what comes so naturally to me!
Teaching Style
I believe that it is important to determine how exactly a person learns. Some people are audio learners and need to talk it out. Others learn better by repetition and doing different examples. I have learned from tutoring math, many people use a combination of learning techniques and it is important for a tutor to be patient with the student and to use positive reinforcement.
