Experience Summary
For the past 2.5 years, I have been in middle and high schools working with English teachers and students. Though I often worked as a substitute, I was able to teach students lessons and work left by teachers who knew of my experience and knowledge of Language Arts. I received a MA in English Education from University of Alabama in Huntsville as well as a BA in English and Theatre from Union University. I am Highly Qualified with the state of Alabama and have been trained through the Alabama Reading Initiative. I have spent years working with students and am comfortable teaching and tutoring students of all ages.
Teaching Style
I believe in interactive learning. Students learn best when they are in a safe environment, which I can provide. I have experience breaking down large assignments and helping students to accomplish one task at a time. My goal is to help students see that any project (writing, reading, etc) can be accomplished with a little hard work and explaining.
