Experience Summary
I have taught at 3 community colleges algebra I, II, geometry, and trigonometry. I have 5 years teaching high school algebra and geometry. I am certified to teach in Maryland and my Ohio teaching certificate is pending. I have also edited math textbooks for McGraw-Hill. I have tutored individual students both in the capacity of my regular teaching jobs as well as a private tutor.
Teaching Style
I prefer whole class instruction where students work together to determine mathematical knowledge and develop skills. As the teacher, I prefer to facilitate by choosing the lesson topics aligned with curriculum with activities that promote maximum learning by students cooperatively discovering mathematical concepts.
