Experience Summary
For the past fourteen years, I have been a dedicated and enthusiastic elementary teacher in the Alabama public/private schools. I earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education with a GPA of 3.9. I have many hours of professional development training in a variety of subjects such as technology, reading interventions, math investigations,writing curriculum and research based programs. Providing students with a positive environment and a developmentally appropriate curriculum has been rewarding.I know how to make learning skills/concepts fun and meaningful to the learner.
Teaching Style
Most of all I enjoy helping students and families achieve academic success. I am a kind, considerate, respectful professional with a love for teaching. Effective teaching means evaluating the student many ways such as observing,using research-based assessments,running records, and written work. Also, it is necessary to have input from a parents point of view. I always consider parents knowledge of their child and background information to help me plan for the individual students needs.I am available to help you and your child discover the most effective way to learn and apply the knowledge gained.
