Experience Summary
For the past 13 years, I have been involved in the area of education in some capacity. I have been a tutor for Sylvan Learning Center, a teacher for the Upward Bound Program at Savannah State University and the Head of Science Department at Johnson High School. I enjoy working with young people which is a rewarding and challenging experience. Being a teacher has enabled me to develop great interpersonal skills.
Teaching Style
My persistent love for learning and helping others learn has motivated me to further my education by obtaining a M.S. degree in brain research with a concentration on teaching and learning. The knowledge I have gained in this program and throughout my teaching career has equipped me with the skills and resources needed to assist all types of learners with their goal of academic success. I am patient and realize that every child has a unique learning style. I invest the time needed to research the most effective activities available to promote learning.
