Experience Summary
I have 15 years of experience teaching English to expatriates and their families in Michigan. I have worked with students from Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Japan and China. I worked with individuals who came to the United States to work in the auto industry and related fields. I taught employees at their place of business and their spouses and children at their homes. I also studied several languages while I was in school so I understand how challenging it is to learn a language and adjust to a new setting while working and raising a family.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working individually with a student so I can get a sense of their learning style and what their needs and goals are for improving their English. I work hard to find the right materials for each student and make sure that each student is being challenged enough. I also think it is important for a student to enjoy their classes and feel that they are making progress and learning relevant things that will enrich their lives. I am caring, patient and compassionate and want my students to really grow and learn new things.
