Experience Summary
Throughout my matriculation at Tougaloo College, we have always been taught to be critical thinkers and to be professional. I have achieved a BS in Biology, and in that major I focus mainly on biology, chemistry, and some math. Also, we complete research papers and laboratory reports which must be grammatically correct and terse. During the last two years of my college career, I assisted my professors in explaining biology and/or chemistry to the incoming students.
Teaching Style
I am a very patient person, and patience is always a necessity when you are teaching a child and helping him/her to understand anything. I am the oldest of four children and I have always had to help them with homework growing up so I know ways to keep their attention on their studies. I have learned that children have to visualize, and see what is happening in order to get a complete understanding. Also, it has to be in a form where it is fun to learn by using charts and different types of ways to display information.
