Experience Summary
I worked as a teaching assistant in chemistry labs while in school at South Dakota and Mankato State U. I had about 8 years ttotal though I only had 2 or so labs weekly during the school year.
Work Experience
My most recent work was at Hutchinson Technology Incorporated (HTI), 40 West Highland Park Drive NE, Hutchinson, MN, 55350-9784, (320-587-3797) from 5-3-04 to 6-10-07. The work required use of autotitraters, pH meters, conductivity meters, ORP meters, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, UV/Vis spectrophotometry, viscosity testing, Karl Fischer water testing, gas chromatography, density/specific gravity testers, and the LIMS program on pc’s for data handling. Some reagent making was required also.
Teaching Style
I enjoyed helping students with laboratory exercises. The hands on work was of benefit for both the students and myself. I was able to help other employees at work in the same fashion as students in school.
