Experience Summary
Along to way to obtaining my various degrees, my sentiment changed from achieving an accounting degree to achieving more knowledge in multiple areas. I pursued this avenue in order to expand my horizons as well as my marketability upon graduation. Instead of becoming a graduate with a degree in accounting, I became a multiple graduate with knowledge in many different areas, including accounting and financial management. Obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, a Bachelors Degree in Technical Management, and a Masters Degree in Accounting and Financial Management allowed me to better prepare myself for any and all opportunities.
Teaching Style
Although I have never formally taught in a classroom on my own, I did assist in teaching a few of the classes I took during my first degree schoolwork while working toward my Bachelor Degree in Accounting. I assisted other classmates who didn't seem to catch on to the material as quickly as I did. Given that one of the subjects was government accounting, which is completely different from what we were used to learning, I embraced the challenge of helping others as well as bettering my own understanding of the material. Classroom discussions aren't very interesting if you've only got 1 or 2 people, out of 20, who know what you are talking about. Repetition is an excellent way to retain knowledge, which it was, and still is today.
