Experience Summary
I hold a BS in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Maryland, College Park and a MS in Genetics from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. I work in a large University Hospital seeing patients with genetic issues. My work involves taking complex scientific information and breaking it down so that it is easy to understand. I also spend time lecturing to medical students and residents. So basically, I am a science person with excellent people skills!
Teaching Style
Teaching is probably my favorite part of my job! I am passionate about science and love to share this interest with others. I am extremely patient and very hard working. One of my strengths is that I can tell whether or not somebody understands the information and can explain things as many different ways as needed until it "clicks." I am upbeat, friendly, and get along with virtually everyone I meet.
