Experience Summary
Over the years I have had the opportunity to tutor students of all ages in English, reading, reading comprehension & Spanish. I have also taught Spanish to elementary and high school students and to adults in night classes in our community.I have earned a BA in Spanish which has enabled me to gain a thorough understanding of the Spanish language and culture. Also in earning my Psychology Minor and through my classes in the education department I have become very aware of attitudes and behaviors which have helped me to better understand the psyche of students.
Teaching Style
I love teaching children and adults.I know I can help your student have an equal opportunity to achieve to her or his full potential. I am prepared to effectively facilitate learning for every individual student, no matter how culturally similar or different, or whether or not he or she has a behavior or learning disability.The teaching methods I will use depend on the student, some are tactile learners, some are kinesthetic, etc. Two of my goals for your student are:to encourage taking an active role in their own education by bringing their thoughts and ideas into the learning scope and to address different learning styles.
