Experience Summary
As an Adjunct Professor in Humanities at Prairie State College
for the past 5 years, I have acquired a wide variety of teaching
skills at the College Level. In addition, since my undergraduate
work I have always tutored in various departments, Mathematics
calculus and college algebra. French and Hebrew at the University
of Chicago, and presently, private tutoring in French, and at
Prairie State College, in Philosophy, Mathematics, and Humanities. All together I have been teaching 15 years in different settings and environments, from 1st grade to college
students. I am apt to tutor both individually and in small groups of 2 to 4 students.
Teaching Style
I am presently teaching at the College level in the fields of
Humanities and Philosophy. I am also tutoring at the tutoring
center in Mathematics and the classes I am teaching. I have
high expectation for my students and try to push them in order
to get the best out of them. I have also being tutoring
French (my native language) to a high school student for 2007-
2009. The student was a beginner with very little knowledge
of the language. I was able to help the student sustain at the
class level (at the Lab school of University of Chicago) a
fast intense pace. I have also tutored Hebrew to children from
1st to 8th grade. I believe I am very patient and firm at the
same time
